An Argument in favor of Term Limits? Sen Levin Casts vote 10,000 WASHINGTON -- Michigan Sen. Carl Levin reached a milestone Tuesday when he became only the 25th senator in U.S. history to cast 10,000 votes. ... Other senators now serving who have reached the 10,000-vote mark include Daniel Inouye, D-Hawaii, and Richard Lugar, R-Ind. Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va., the record holder with 17,532 votes under his belt, shook Levin's hand and patted him on the back. In all, 1,875 people have served in the Senate since 1789, according to the Senate Historical Office.

Should a qualification test for continued service be given to these senators? Like, name 1% of the bills you voted on and state why they are important. If we insist on measuring the progress of our school children, why not our elected representatives? You know. Leave no Senator Behind!
